Good afternoon all.\u00a0 Crazy weather still in Pittsburgh.\u00a0 Snow flurries, hail, rain, sunshine one day and then 70 degrees a few days later.\u00a0 The temps this time of year are like Powerball numbers\u2026 all over the place!\u00a0 With the poor weather outside I worked inside the house on Saturday and ticked off some items on my to do list.\u00a0 Hopefully I\u2019ll get outside today to start preparing the yard for summer.\u00a0 Yes, I realize the more I fertilize and balance the soil, the more I will have to mow it this summer!\u00a0 But I love a deep green lush yard.\u00a0 My knee will get extra workouts this summer!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Many of you know that I have been asked to write a chapter in an upcoming book called \u201cThe Impact of One Voice\u201d It will be in stores and online sometime this fall.\u00a0 However, if you want a copy with my unique cover, you will have to order it from me.\u00a0 The mass marketed book will have a generic cover.\u00a0 I\u2019ll let you know when I have copies.\u00a0 This week, I finished the first draft of the chapter, and am now having my editor review it and provide suggestions to make it better.\u00a0 Writing this chapter made me think about my faith and how I live it every day.\u00a0 I joined a men\u2019s group several months ago where we review scriptures every Wednesday at 6:30 AM in person.\u00a0 This has made me more diligent in spending time in the bible.\u00a0 Normally I keep myself so busy each day, that I don\u2019t take the time to read the bible. \u00a0Being grounded in the bible gives me a much better perspective to approach each day full of challenges.\u00a0 I don\u2019t always do the best, but I keep trying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Take advantage of every chance you have to form your faith \u2013 through small groups, classes, and personal study. Be a disciple and look to learn from those who know more of the Bible and Christian life than you do, then look for opportunities to share what you\u2019ve gained with someone else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.\u201d (2 Timothy 2: 2)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Ideas for Action:<\/strong> If you\u2019re not currently in a small group, call your church office and ask for assistance in finding one.
