{"id":190,"date":"2022-05-09T01:08:22","date_gmt":"2022-05-09T01:08:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lovingcultureministries.com\/?p=190"},"modified":"2022-05-09T01:08:22","modified_gmt":"2022-05-09T01:08:22","slug":"abundance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lovingcultureministries.com\/index.php\/2022\/05\/09\/abundance\/","title":{"rendered":"Abundance"},"content":{"rendered":"<body>\n<p>Good afternoon all.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was praying about a topic for this week.\u00a0 Today\u2019s sermon at church hit a part of me that resonated.\u00a0 The concept was that of abundance.\u00a0 What do you think of when you hear the term abundance? Is it an overflowing amount of physical things?\u00a0 Food, money, number of Facebook friends, worldly possessions?\u00a0 True abundance is the grace that God gives us, and what can flow from that action.\u00a0 What about having an abundant life?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abundance is frequently mentioned in the Bible as something God offers to those who trust in Him. Scripture says that God will provide an abundant life to those who \u201cseek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness.\u201d Abundance in this sense means a life full of everything you need to sustain yourself in joy and purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When Jesus met the disciples after his resurrection along the lake shore.\u00a0 He provided them with an abundance of fish, so much that they could barely haul in the nets, they were so full.\u00a0 He then had them share the abundance at their breakfast.\u00a0 Not only does God bless us with abundance, he gives us the ability to accept his abundance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 Corinthians 9:8 <strong>\u201c<\/strong><strong>\u00a0And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>John 10:10 <strong>\u201cThe thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.<\/strong><strong>\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ephesians 3:20 <strong>\u201cNow to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,<\/strong><strong>\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Proverbs 3:10 <strong>\u201c<\/strong><strong>then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.\u201d\u00a0 <\/strong>Sounds pretty good!\u00a0 But this is not a result of our works, but that of God blessing us with his grace!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Romand 15:13 <strong>\u201cMay the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.<\/strong><strong>\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abundance in Hope!\u00a0 Abundance in Joy!\u00a0 Abundance In life!\u00a0 How can we share this abundance with those in our church?\u00a0 How can we share this abundance with those in our community?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The past 2 years have changed us forever.\u00a0 The old ways will not work.\u00a0 The disciples\u2019 old ways of fishing no longer worked for them.\u00a0 Jesus told them to throw the nets onto the other side of the boat.\u00a0 We need to embrace our new ways, our new abundance as we invent new ways to worship, new ways to evangelize, new ways to make disciples of Christ.\u00a0 We will also have new abundance.\u00a0 Everything we need to abound in our new works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What is your new abundance?\u00a0 What is your new wineskin?\u00a0 How is God making you new?<\/p>\n<\/body>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good afternoon all.\u00a0 I was praying about a topic for this week.\u00a0 Today\u2019s sermon at church hit a part of me that resonated.\u00a0 The concept was that of abundance.\u00a0 What do you think of when you hear the term abundance?
