Good day everyone.\u00a0 Another week behind us.\u00a0 These always seem to pass so quickly!\u00a0 In looking back, were you able to serve someone?\u00a0\u00a0 Where you able to make a difference for someone?\u00a0 When I get up each morning, I try to set my mind that I am here to serve, and I want to make a difference every day.\u00a0 Most days I succeed.\u00a0 Today, I am reminded that we cannot do any of this alone!\u00a0 We need to ask for God\u2019s help.\u00a0 We need to ask for help from our friends.\u00a0 We need the community of believers around us.\u00a0 Some days we can lift others, and some days others can lift us.\u00a0 We are not always in the same place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We live in very distracting times.\u00a0 Some days we are faced with very difficult situations.\u00a0 How do we deal with these?\u00a0 Do we power through on our own?\u00a0 Do we face the world alone?\u00a0 For some this can work for a time, however for many they fail, and are defeated.\u00a0 Even those that can succeed for a time face failure. This is not how it should be!\u00a0 We are all directed in the Bible to ask for help!\u00a0 Paul showed his weakness and asked for help. Jesus prayed to his father for help.\u00a0 If these guys asked for help, we sure should!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a0Right now, I am in a season that I need lifted.\u00a0 I am very passionate about this ministry.\u00a0 I know it will help the kingdom of God.\u00a0 I know it will help congregations.\u00a0 I know it will help pastors.\u00a0 What I don\u2019t know is God\u2019s timing for this to happen.\u00a0 I left the corporate world 14 months ago.\u00a0 I left with 6 months of cash, and that has lasted more than double that time!\u00a0 God has provided for my needs.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Part of being a real and authentic member of the church is to acknowledge your weaknesses and be willing to ask for God\u2019s help and the support of others. \u00a0None of us can go it alone. Vulnerability is a sign of strength and a gift to others.\u00a0 I acknowledge that I am still figuring out my ministry of helping churches be more effective in making disciples of Christ. \u00a0\u00a0I pray each day for God to show me the way, and to bring me into contact with someone who I can help, or who can help me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLord, help!\u201d they cried in their trouble, and he rescued them from their distress. <\/em><\/strong>(Psalm 107: 6)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Each time he said, \u201cMy grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.\u201d So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n (2 Corinthians 12: 9)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Ideas for Action: <\/strong>First think about what you need help with right now.
