Feeling overwhelmed this week as you prepare for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services?\u00a0 We have lots of balls to keep in the air this time of year.\u00a0 We want to be our best and serve others the best we can.\u00a0 Our stress is very high, our time seems very short.\u00a0 We want others to feel the joy of celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.\u00a0 But we may want to bite someone\u2019s head off in our anxiety!\u00a0 Yes, it is affecting me likewise! \u00a0What advice do the Apostles give us?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Collaboration\u2026 Teamwork\u2026. Joining Hands.\u00a0 Work as a team. Collaborate with each other, our professional staff, our lay leaders, and our congregants to find the best solutions. Collaboration lightens the load, generates better ideas than individuals working alone, and unleashes the gifts God has given us all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c<\/em>Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.\u201d <\/em><\/strong>(Ecclesiastes 4: 9)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c<\/em>Share each other\u2019s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important.\u201d <\/em><\/strong>(Galatians 6: 2, 3)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c<\/em>As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.\u201d <\/em><\/strong>(Proverbs 27: 17)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Ideas for Action: <\/strong>Is there some task you\u2019re doing at church that you could invite someone to share with you? Think of someone from our church who can help you sort out a challenge or problem you\u2019re facing.\u00a0 Join hands with others and collaborate together.\u00a0 Create a team mindset, lift each other up, have someone\u2019s back!\u00a0 Break down the silos of individuals and work as a focused team to move the church and our congregation forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Merry Christmas!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
